The simplest, most versatile instrument you can imagine and beautifully painted too. Simply blow into the mouthpiece while at the same time moving the piston in and out. Depending on your age and inclination you'll either quickly produce some realistic bird calls or, for the older generations of children, some "clanger"-like musical conversations. You'll find that jiggling your tongue around while playing can result in some virtuoso effects. But be careful not to pull the plunger too hard or it may come out! There are two sizes of swanee whistle and this one is the smallest. |
