The Pulu is a fabulously sonorous instrument. The two keys are tuned just slightly apart and are usually struck simultaneously to produce a deep reverberation full of overtones and ﾓbeatsﾔ. Often used as an accompaniment to singing but also makes a very good substitute or reinforcment for gongs.
