Description

Balinese drums (kendang) are traditionally dressed in covers like these. The black and white chequered fabric has religious significance, the colours representing the forces of good and evil and the chequered design the interplay of the two forces. There are 3 sizes of kendang cover, one for each size of kendang and this is the largest size, to fit the 70cm drum.
