This beautiful and sonorous drum is based on an old Javanese design. It's carved from a single, massive piece of mahogany and we're the only suppliers in the UK. The drum is 28 inches high and has a playing head diameter of approx 12 inches; suitable for 10 years old upwards and a comfortable size for bigger children, teenagers and adults. This size drum gives weight and depth to secondary/teenage groups and also for younger groups playing mainly smaller djembes. The finishing in this case is simply beautiful - just wax and polish, showing the natural grain of the mahogany to best advantage. Rucksack-style carry bag available - see Drum Accessories section.
