Description

A classic instrument and a beautiful wooden sculpture. For a more realistic frog sound see our Frog twirlers in the Other drums section. There are four sizes of frog scraper and this is the smallest one.

How it's Played

To play just scrape the wooden stick up and down the ridges on the back of the frog to produce the characteristic sound, which actually sounds more like a cricket than a frog! You'll find it best to hold the thin end of the stick and to use the thick end for scraping. You can also use the frog like a wood block - use the stick to hit the frog in different places (end fo the nose is quite effective) for different sounds.
