These Packs are designed for First Access Class Instrumental teaching and Wider Opportunities projects and have been tried and tested in schools throughout the UK. They give you everything you need to introduce and embed Gamelan into the school culture quickly and sustainably and they cover the requirements of the new National Music Plan and the National Curriculum. No prior experience or specialist musical training is necessary - not even the ability to read music!
As well as authentic Balinese gamelan metallophones, gongs, Balinese drum (kendang) and cymbals (cengceng), all packs include Andy Gleadhill's brilliant Indonesian Gamelan Guide and CD, covering everything from basic playing techniques to lesson planning and creating a show-stopping performance - all in just 10 weeks!
