Smaller version of the begijen guitar. Not a guitar as you know it but based on the Indian single string guitar. In fact it's a drum and a guitar as hitting the drumskin in the centre makes the single string vibrate. You can then produce a "wow" effect by squeezing the neck of the instrument and so changing the length (and pitch) of the string. Sounds complicated but it's actually really easy and makes a wonderful sound. If the string should break due to over-enthusiastic twanging you can replace it with a cheap high E guitar string. |
